HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BECKY SPRINGER
The wait was long and terror new
As I sat in the lobby awaiting you
It finally happened, you were breathing air
And your mom came by sitting in a chair
The nurse was pushing said; “don’t you get near”
But Susan’s tired smile pushed away all fear
‘Twas mid July and my life was troubled
I found out that my girls were doubled
She grew and became a lovely lass
I always thought she had lots of class
Just go ahead and have more years
May the Good Lord vanquish all your fears
Getting old ain’t no game
There’s lots of aches and you're sometimes lame
But it’s worth it now to see your own
Begin their life and become all grown
I love you Becky and all that goo
And now this poem is done, all though

Let's see if this works this time.
It works!
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Your poem was sweet
And you are too.
Thank you for the poem, Dad. We all enjoyed your birthday greetings. Abby wondered where my arms and hands were in the picture. I told her that I just recently grew them, but she did not believe me.
Love you,
Becky
LOL, that was so sweet.
Happy Birthday, Becky!
