WE LOVE BURT AND ARLEEN

This picture does have something to do with this post.

The title I have given this is THE THREE OLIVERS.

I am personally horrible at remembering birthdays. Arleen is the person in my church that reminds me when someone has a birthday. She sends them a card and calls me to let me know. She has failed at doing this for herself. She recently had a birthday and I meant to get in touch with her but forgot. She would expect me to do this. I have decided to post this in replacement for all the times I have forgotten the birthdays of Burt and Arleen.

When I was a lad my father died and one of the few men I knew was Burt. Burt is honest, possessing a sense of humor, cooks a mean steak (DON’T PUT ON KETCHUP IN HIS PRESENCE), worked faithfully as long as he could (sometimes in pain), is the go-to guy for BBQing turkeys, scary smart about electric stuff, and generally an all around nice guy.

Arleen is my eldest sister. She was a second mother at times and kept other siblings tame toward an unwanted little brother. She is generous to a fault and you have to be careful in admiring anything she has. She is my own personal gadget guru. She is the family member that is always faithful when someone is in trouble. She has the wonderful ability to forgive others inappropriate lapses.

We love you Olivers and wish the best for you. Having you as Brethren, kinfolk, and friends is precious to my entire family.

HTOITA hopefully

What a nice picture! I hope the Olivers know how much we all love them.

I have enjoyed your unsent letters to the editor.
