CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE

This picture has nothing to do with this blog. This 45-cal. replica handgun is VERY fun to shoot. You could go bear hunting with it. I would suggest wrist exercises first though. I put this in just to tweak any anti-2nd amendment people who may accidentally drop in.

We are doing a series of silly contradictions I garnered from an “erudite” secular website. Some are silly, some are serious but I will try to give a sentient answer for each one.

Our basic pre-supposition is following:
  • The Bible is God’s Word
  • God’s Word is perfect
  • Therefore, the Bible is perfect.
If your Bible has errors in it you have my sympathy. Mine does not.

I think I need to add an explanation of why these obvious simple statements are taken for contradictions. - The unbelievers are looking for anything they can use for ammunition. But the largest reason is they are simply unable to understand anything spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Previous posts
1. The Sun was not created until the fourth day therefore light could not have been created on the first day.
2. The creation of trees and men do not match.
3. The creation of birds and men do not match.
4. The creation of animals and men do not match
5. The creation of woman and men do not match
6. God says to have children then says not to have children.
7. God was pleased with His creation and He was not pleased with His creation
8. Adam died the day of the fall but he lived to 930 years

In quotations is the actual clip and pasted contradiction from this site. The people who did this site actually believe their inconsistency listing will disprove Christianity.

And today's Supposed contradiction #9
9 - The Bible says it is wrong to know good from evil and also it is immature not to be able to tell good from evil.
“GE 2:15-17, 3:4-6 It is wrong to want to be able to tell good from evil.”
“HE 5:13-14 It is immature to be unable to tell good from evil.”

This one must have been chosen while the anti-God person was mentally altered by overdosing on California wine and too much brie cheese.

The Genesis passages plainly are a record of the fall of man. It speaks of man before the fall. In the beginning God gave man only one commandment, DON’T EAT OF THAT TREE. Man had no knowledge of rebellion, sexual immorality, greed, gluttony, rage, vandalism, coveting, or voting for liberals; all of these are sinful acts.

The Hebrew passage is about someone who has not grown as a Christian and is still a babe in Christ.

As I do not know the person who has collected all these contradictions in Scripture I can only wish he would have found a Christian 10 year old to explain this one to him/her.

Hopefully HTOITA
