I hope this will be a blessing to others and even a help in recording my journey.

HIS EYE IS ON THE SINGER
These are my grandkids. This post has nothing to do with them but with their parents.
-------------
The song HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW written by Civilla D. Martin has been a blessing for countless Christians. The tune written by Charles Gabriel is easily sung and fits the song perfectly. You should learn it, sing it, and enjoy it.
My two youngest kids, Sarah and Jim rewrote the song and created the following words. If it is sung to the Gabriel tune it works. Many PKs will understand and relate to my kid's dilemma. Becky, Joshua, Daniel, Sarah, and to a lesser degree James were often used as special music producers. They knew it might happen and (hanging my head here) sometimes I did not give them enough notice.
Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my Dad be ornery and make me sing at all.
No time to work the tune out,
No time to make it rhyme,
Just try keep from shaking, his asking is a crime.
I sing because I’m made to, I sing because I’m forced;
Dad’s eye is on the singer and I know he watches me.
When I am unsuspecting,
I don’t even know the song;
Dad says this goes with my message,
Work it up don’t be long.
No pleading will dissuade him,
I plead, I cry I pout;
No mercy from the Father,
Sounds Great! Just sing it out.
I sing because I’m made to, I sing because I’m forced;
But God’s eye is on the singer and that’s what it’s all about
It did not hurt them at all.

Your comment made me laugh, I was born in Fortuna and my dad's first ministry was a rescue mission in Eureka!
